It was built by the prominent J & C Fischer Piano Company of New York in about 1891. J & C Fischer built high quality, expensive pianos from about 1840 -1982, one of the few American piano manufacturers to survive well over a century. Note the amazingly intricate carvings and lattice cut out work featuring ebonized, fancy burled walnut, mahogany & other fine woods. This was the highest grade and most expensive upright piano offered by the J & C Fischer Piano Company. Pianos of this caliber are exceedingly rare due to their high cost when new. This piano has been completely restored to like new condition inside.
